Digital Music Service App

New Media Technology:
CD player--> Digital music service app (Spotify, NetEase Yun music... )

1. Coevolution and coexistence 
People used to listen music with CD players. CD players now fade out. Buying, using and maintainging them are not cost-effective any longer. Now as smartphones and high-speed internet become more and more popular, music apps on mobile phones provide high-quality music as well. Many users swtich to the later media for entertainment. Music apps now coexist with CD players, mp3 players, etc.

2.Metamorphosis
In the past, music needs some actual carriers, like CDs. Now music are merely data. 

3.Propagation
High-quality music is preserved lossless audio compression technology.

4.Survival (from many people to many different people).
Music service apps now incorporate customized services and cloud computings in themselved to attract more users. 

5.Opportunity and need principle
Opportunity: The populartity of smartphones, music phones. Business model evolution in music industry.
Need: People are in demand of high-quality music.

6.Delayed adoption principle 
Spotify came out in 2008. It took it years to become popular. Also music used to be free for Chinese users, but recently some music service app started to charge users for songs. It took years for music app to gain revenue.
